About GSMI

Good Shepherd Ministries International (GSMI) was founded in 1991 with a focus on training Christian leaders around the world and helping fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20). Over the past 15 years, the ministry has grown enormously. The most well known area of growth has been in the production and distribution of the International School of Ministry (ISOM). This powerful church-based training program can now be found in over 17,000 locations, 145 nations and in over 75 of the world’s major languages. The ISOM uses some of the greatest Christian teachers in the world and is designed to help pastors turn their churches into high-quality ministry training centers. ISOM is committed to bring balanced, full Gospel teaching and training to those in need around the world. (See our statement of faith for details.)

Ministry Overview VideoGood Shepherd is, however, larger than the ISOM. In recent years we have developed another branch of our training program called Women of the World (WOW). This is a curriculum done “by women and for women.” It is designed to encourage, empower and equip God’s women to become effective in their lives for Christ. For more detailed information see the WOW Menu.

A third resource Good Shepherd has recently developed is called YouthBytes . This dynamic material is designed to help churches to disciple their young
people. The project is being done in partnership with Chad Daniel and his ministry, Global Expeditors. Each month, Good Shepherd will supply two 6-10 minute YouthByte episodes to help strengthen a church’s youth group or for other youth ministry and outreach. More information can be found at our website YouthBytes.org

Another branch of Good Shepherd is Josiah’s Joy. This is an orphanage outreach, which has begun in the country of Myanmar. Currently we help support about 10 orphanages with a total of 500 children in that needy Asian country. More about our orphanages will soon be available on this site.

Finally, Good Shepherd has a branch called Go-Now Missions. This is primarily designed to help send out short-term missions teams. Please feel free to contact us for more information about the ministries of Good Shepherd.
